What better way to replace that yearning for sweetness than with the best keto chocolate cake?! I made this cake fun and Halloween themed for those of us in the holiday spirit.

This year seemed to fly by. I just started the keto diet in April and to think that I will probably stick to this diet for the rest of my life is crazy. My birthday is coming up in December and I always hear about everyone wanting a keto friendly birthday cake. This is the perfect recipe for that!

This cake is the best keto chocolate cake you will ever taste. The texture is spot on to those boxed cake mixes we all know and love (devil’s food cake).


  • 4 tbsp butter – melted
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 c granulated erythritol
  • 1 tsp liquid stevia
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • Dash of salt


  • Preheat oven to 350F and place parchment paper in the bottom of a round cake pan or a square baking pan.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl melt the butter in the microwave. Then add the sour cream, eggs, erythritol, and stevia. Mix until smooth.
  • In a medium bowl, sift in your almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Mix until all dry ingredients are combined well.
