Luv this recipe. So easy to cook. Used turkey meat and if course added a little extra cheese. They are to die for. And I never had stuffed peppers b 4

Delicious & easy! I subbed a few ingredients with what I had in the kitchen & made mine with hot pork sausage, brown rice, quinoa, & Prego traditional sauce.

I used this recipe as inspiration for a Valentine Day surprise creation. I used wild rice done Northern Minnesota style to stuff the pepper with alternate layers of pepper cheese and sharp cheddar.

This was a simple but delicious recipe. Added a bit of Worcestershire, pepper, and minced garlic instead of powder. I highly recommend trying this one out

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large green bell peppers (can use red if you prefer)
  • 1 lb of ground beef or turkey
  • 1 Tbs. chopped onion
  • 1 cup of cooked rice (Minute Rice is what I use)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 – 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut a circle around the top of the pepper so you can remove the top.  This is the “lid”, which you can discard.
