  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

  1. In a medium-sized bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl using a handheld electric mixer, or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the *room temperature butter on medium-speed until smooth.
